Paint with wool fibres on a piece of pre-felt Saturday, 25/07/2015, 10.30am-2pm

Wet felted and then needle felted landscape on pre-felt

In this half day workshop we will combine wet felting and needle felting. You will first wet felt your nature inspired design out of colourful wool fibres on a pre-felted sheet. Then you will needle felt on the dried project to embellish the design, work on details, enhance colour, shape the design, light up or deepen certain areas etc. To help your inspiration you can bring a photo, print out or postcard for your design.
It is fun and very inspiring to combine both felt techniques!
Craft experience is very welcome and felt experience too, but not necessary.

Cost: £21/£17 conc. Max. 4 participants.
A complementary cup of tea and biscuits are included.
Please book in advance to secure your place. Please contact me.
Bring a friend and you’ll get 10% off your fee.
All skill levels are welcome.

Another workshop to connect to nature and create with wool fibres on Saturday 11th July 2-5pm

Sunflower fairy

In this afternoon workshop you can create your individual needle felted ornament related to the natural realm. To connect with the natural realm we'll start with a guided inner journey. During this guided inner journey you can connect with nature and it's colours, fragrances, textures, sounds, qualities, energies and beauty. This journey prepares us for the following felt project. You might receive ideas and images, which may inspire you for your individual needle felt project. It's fine as well, to have already an idea in mind before you arrive and just receive the atmosphere and energy of the natural world.
As an experienced fibre craft artist and workshop leader I'm happy to share my skills and expertise wit
h you.
You will then use colourful sheep's wool fibres and a special felt needle to create a nature related ornament e.g. a fairy, a mushroom, a gnome, an elf, a mermaid etc.
It's fun to get creative in this way and you can easily get hooked!
Craft experience is very welcome and needle felt experience too, but not necessary.
Please, feel free to invite friends. A complementary cup of tea will be served. Booking in advance is essential! Places limited to 4 participants. Please, call/text me to secure your place: 07503210416.

Testimonial: I enjoyed the guided journey to start the afternoon. It really set the tone for the creativity. It was also fantastic to see other people’s creations taking shape and to take inspiration from the beautiful display. The teaching style was relaxed and encouraging and very informative. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Karen L.

Having fun with a dragon

Needle felted dragon
It was great fun to create this dragon, even though it took me many hours to finish it, with all the triangular shapes on its back and tale. The core wool is a coarser white wool then covered whit a blend from many greens merino wool. The dragon is about 30cm long and 10cm tall. It is a friendly dragon and actually quite funny :-) No reason to be scared!
A closer look
...and from the side
This dragon has already found a new home and friend, who's happy to look after it, feed it etc. and maybe even writing about its future adventures.......
