those into a firm, felted, useful item, like a seamless pouch, or seamless wrist cuffs or a
flat felt. It can be a fantastic opportunity to create a very unique
gift. It's fun and rewarding! All hollow items will be felted around a resist pattern. This workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate. Cost: £18/£15 concession. Last Saturday afternoon we celebrated the Harvest with many fantastic activities for all ages. Most of the afternoon the weather was sunny and all activities, like face painting, recycling crafts, needle felting and apple juice making could happen outside at the Toryglen Community Base. There was even a mushroom walk through the Malls Mire wood and a bonfire, baking bread over the fire. Oh, and a most delicious lunch buffet was set up to every bodies enjoyment! The music was provided by bicycle power. Sorry, no photo taken. I very much enjoyed getting more folks hooked at needle felting :-) Here you can see a few of the beautiful harvest and Autumn items which have been created!
Please, read on the poster above what's going on at the Harvest Festival. I'll be there with my felting equipment and you're very welcome to have a go on needle felting all autumnal things like fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and colourful autumnal leaves.

It was great fun to create this dragon, even though it took me many hours to finish it, with all the triangular shapes on its back and tale. The corewool is a coarser white wool then covered whit a blend from many greens merino wool. The dragon is about 30cm long and 10cm tall. It is a friendly dragon and actually quite funny :-) No reason to be scared!
A closer look
...and from the side
This dragon has already found a new home and friend, who's happy to look after it, feed it etc. and maybe even writing about its future adventures.......
